Notre Dame downs FSU, stays unbeaten
Feb 7, 2014 - 3:24 AM Tallahassee, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Natalie Achonwa scored 24 points on 10- of-12 shooting and Jewell Loyd added 18 as No. 2 Notre Dame rolled to an 81-60 victory over Florida State.The lopsided outcome moved Notre Dame (22-0, 9-0 ACC) within one win of matching the best start in program history.
Kayla McBride chipped in 14 points and Taya Reimer had 12 for the Fighting Irish, who have won a school-record 45 consecutive regular-season games.
The Seminoles (15-7, 3-6) were led by Yashira Delgado's 18 points, but the team shot just 35.2 percent from the field and 2-of-17 from 3-point range.
Natasha Howard, who set a school record with her 116th career start, was held to 11 points in the loss.
