Georgia defeats Georgia Southern for 17th straight time
Nov 14, 2007 - 3:52 AM ATHENS, Georgia (Ticker) -- Tasha Humphrey led six players in double figures with 18 points, leading No. 10 Georgia to a 105-66 victory over Georgia Southern on Tuesday night.Playing their third game in five days, the Lady Bulldogs (3-0) defeated their intrastate rival for the 17th consecutive time.
Christy Marshall had 17 points, Ashley Houts 16 and Lindsey Moss 15 for Georgia, which held a commanding 52-21 lead at halftime.
Angel Robinson added 12 points and Megan Durrah had 11 for the Lady Bulldogs. Darrah, Robinson and Brittany Carter each had seven rebounds for the Lady Bulldogs.
Shawnda Atwood had 16 points and seven rebounds to lead the Eagles (1-2). Ashley Melson added 12 points and Jessica Geiger had 11 and four steals for Georgia Southern.
