Laksa leads No. 15 South Florida women past Central Florida

(AP) Freshman Kitija Laksa hit seven 3-pointers and scored 29 points, Courtney Williams added 20 points, her fifth-straight game with at least 20, and No. 15 South Florida rolled to an 88-49 win over Central Florida on Sunday.Shalethia Stringfield added 13 points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals, while Laura Ferreira had 14 points for the Bulls (13-5, 6-2 American), who trailed 14-11 after one quarter.
Stringfield's basket a minute into the second quarter put South Florida up for good and started a 14-2 run, capped by Laksa's 3 that made it 30-19 2:17 before the half.
Laksa had five quick points in a 12-0 run in the third quarter, when the Bulls outscored the Knights 27-15.
Zykira Lewis had 12 points for the Knights (4-15, 1-7), who shot 33 percent (18 for 55) and had 24 turnovers.
Laksa had eight 3s and 38 points against SMU on Jan. 7.
