Morris has 19 points as Temple upsets Purdue

THOMAS, Virgin Islands (Ticker) -- Ashley Morris scored 19 points as Temple toppled No. 20 Purdue, 61-47, in the Paradise Jam on Saturday.Morris shot 6-of-11 from the field and sank a pair of 3-pointers as the Owls bounced back from a 64-53 loss to eighth-ranked Duke on Friday.
Shenita Landry chipped in eight points and eight rebounds for Temple (2-3), which held Purdue to 30.2 percent (16-of-53) from the field.
Danielle Campbell was the lone player in double figures with 15 points for the Boilermakers (2-2), who failed to score 50 points for the second straight game - both losses.
