Big second-half propels Baylor past California

Nov 25, 2007 - 11:59 PM WACO, Texas (Ticker) -- Jessica Morrow scored 18 points as No. 12 Baylor erased a seven-point halftime deficit to blow past 14th-ranked California, 69-56, on Sunday.

Angela Tisdale had nine of her 16 points on a 19-6 run to open the second half as Baylor (5-0) took a 44-38 lead with 14:13 to play.

Jhasmin Player added 15 points for the Bears, who led by double digits for the final 10:45 of the contest.

Ashley Walker had 20 points and 12 rebounds for California (4-1), which shot just 36 percent (8-of-22) in the second half and had no scoring from its bench for the game.
