Big second half lifts Vanderbilt past Duke

Nov 29, 2007 - 4:39 AM NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Jessica Mooney scored 16 points and Christina Wirth had 15 to lead No. 18 Vanderbilt to a 68-55 victory over 10th-ranked Duke on Wednesday.

Mooney and Wirth were the only players to score in double figures for Vanderbilt (5-1), which outscored Duke, 38-22, in the second half.

The Commodores were 18-for-24 from the line in the second half while the Blue Devils were 7-of-9. Vanderbilt also scored 20 points off of 24 Duke turnovers.

Freshman Jasmine Thomas scored 12 points and Chante Black had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Duke (4-2).
