Prince leads Rutgers to easy win over Temple

Dec 30, 2007 - 10:42 PM PISCATAWAY, New Jersey (Ticker) -- Epiphanny Prince scored 20 points and had six steals as No. 6 Rutgers pounded Temple, 70-34, on Sunday.

Matee Ajavon had 14 points, eight assists and Kia Vaughn added 12 points and eight rebounds for the Scarlet Knights, who used a 22-2 run over the final 11 minutes of the first half to take a 38-14 lead at the break.

Rutgers (9-2) led by at least 20 points for the entire second half and shot 56 percent (27-of-48) for the game.

Ashley Morris scored 15 points to lead the Owls (7-7), who shot 26 percent (10-of-38) for the contest and committed 20 turnovers.
