Wyoming holds off New Mexico
Jan 10, 2008 - 6:30 AM ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (Ticker) -- Hanna Zavecz scored 14 points to spark No. 22 Wyoming to a 58-52 victory over New Mexico on Wednesday in the Mountain West Conference opener for both teams.Jodi Bolerjack scored 11 points and Dominique Sisk made four free throws in the final 21 seconds to clinch the win for Wyoming (13-1, 1-0 MWC).
New Mexico (8-6, 0-1) led 26-20 at the break but shot just 36 percent (8-of-22) from the field in the second half.
Dionne Marsh scored 24 points and was the only player in double figures for New Mexico.
