Old Dominion tops William & Mary
Jan 20, 2008 - 10:28 PM WILLIAMSBURG, Virginia (Ticker) -- Megan Pym scored 14 points and Tiffany Green added 13 as No. 20 Old Dominion posted a 63-55 victory over William & Mary in the Colonial Athletic Association on Sunday.Green also grabbed eight rebounds and Jazzmin Walters had 12 points and six assists for the Lady Monarchs (14-3, 5-0 CAA), who have won eight straight and 11 of their last 12 games.
Holding a 30-27 lead at the half, Old Dominion kept up a stellar defensive effort in the second half, limiting William & Mary to 29 percent (7-of-24) shooting.
Kyra Kaylor scored 18 points and Kelly Heath added 16 for the Tribe (8-9, 2-3), who ended up 29 percent (17-of-59) from the field, including 3-of-13 on 3-pointers.
