Humphrey leads Georgia past Alabama
Jan 21, 2008 - 1:28 AM ATHENS, Georgia (Ticker) -- Tasha Humphrey scored a season-high 25 points to lead No. 11 Georgia to a 71-53 victory over Alabama on Sunday in a Southeastern Conference game.Humphrey shot 10-of-13 from the floor to help the Lady Bulldogs (15-3, 2-2 SEC) snap a two-game losing streak.
Angel Robinson had 12 points and 14 rebounds for Georgia, which started the season 13-0 before slipping up.
The Lady Bulldogs ended their skid by shooting 54 percent (26-of-48) from the floor and outscoring the Crimson Tide, 34-14, in the paint.
Camilla Blands scored 16 points for Alabama (8-11, 1-3), which committed 25 turnovers and was outrebounded, 37-22.
