Late run carries No. 11 Oklahoma past No. 14 Georgia

Jan 28, 2008 - 12:40 AM NORMAN, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Courtney Paris and Amanda Thompson scored 18 points apiece to lead No. 11 Oklahoma to a 65-57 victory over No. 14 Georgia in a Southeastern Conference game on Sunday.

The Sooners outscored the Lady Bulldogs, 12-2, over the final 5:17 of the game.

Georgia (16-4, 3-2 SEC) battled back from a 38-28 deficit at halftime to pull within two points on two occasions, but missed three shots that would have tied the game or given the Lady Bulldogs the lead.

Christy Marshall scored a team-high 16 points off the bench for Georgia. Megan Darrah and Tasha Humphrey each scored 11 points, while Humphrey also had 13 rebounds for her career 43rd double-double.

Ashley Paris scored 14 points and Danielle Robinson had 12 points, four steals and seven assists for Oklahoma (13-4, 3-2).
