Beck's 18 points leads George Washington past Dayton
Jan 30, 2008 - 4:02 AM WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- Kimberly Beck scored 18 points as No. 13 George Washington posted an 81-73 Atlantic 10 Conference victory against Dayton on Tuesday.Jessica Adair scored 17 points and Antelia Parrish and Sarah-Jo Lawrence each added 15 for the Colonials (17-4, 5-1 A-10), who have never lost to the Flyers in 23 all-time meetings.
Beck connected on 7-of-15 shots from the floor, including four 3-pointers, for George Washington, which outrebounded Dayton, 41-29, including 19-9 on the offensive boards.
The Colonials, who shot 44 percent (28-of-63), helped earn coach Joe McKeown his 499th career victory.
Kendel Ross led the Flyers (17-5, 3-3) with a career-high 16 points, 14 of which came before halftime.
