Adair, George Washington breeze past winless Fordham
Mar 1, 2008 - 11:36 PM WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- Jazmine Adair had 15 points and 12 rebounds as George Washington defeated lowly Fordham, 66-27, in an Atlantic 10 Conference game on Saturday.Kimberly Beck had 13 points, five rebounds and four assists and Whitney Allen added 12 points and 10 boards for the Colonials (24-5, 12-2 A-10), who earned a share of the league regular-season title for the seventh consecutive season.
Adair, normally a starter, came off the bench due to Senior Night and connected on 4-of-10 from the floor and to gather her first double-double of the season. Allen's double-double was her fourth of 2007-08 and second in as many games.
George Washington, which shot 37 percent (25-of-67), improved to 15-0 this season when allowing less than 60 points.
Megan Mahoney scored 15 points for the Rams (0-29, 0-14), who shot just 23 percent (10-of-43) and set the NCAA Division I record for losses in a season.
