Wisdom-Hylton paces Purdue past Hartford
Nov 13, 2006 - 3:03 AM WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana (Ticker) -- Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton scored 18 points and grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds to lead No. 13 Purdue to an 83-51 victory over Hartford in the quarterfinals of the Preseason WNIT.Wisdom-Hylton also chipped in five assists and three blocks for Purdue, which hosts North Carolina State in Wednesday's semifinal.
Jodi Howell scored a career-high 16 points, FahKara Malone collected 15 and seven steals and Erin Lawless had 15 points for the Boilermakers, who shot 58 percent (34-of-59) from the floor.
Purdue entered halftime with a comfortable 34-17 cushion and led by as many as 35 points after the break. The Boilermakers owned a 37-32 edge on the glass and forced 18 turnovers.
Jamie McCabe shot 4-of-4 from beyond the arc and scored 14 points off the bench for Hartford, which shot just 34 percent (21-of-61).
