Steen, Perron lead Blues past Wild
Sep 25, 2010 - 2:46 AM ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Alex Steen and David Perron each scored twice and Ty Conklin made 21 saves in the St. Louis Blues' 5-0 exhibition victory over the Minnesota Wild on Friday night.Minnesota goalie Josh Harding, playing for the first time since surgery to repair a partially torn hip labrum, was carried off the ice after a collision midway through the first period.
Harding was bowled over by Blues winger Brad Boyes, who was checked into Harding by Wild defenseman Greg Zanon. Harding went over on his back, threw off his glove and blocker and began motioning toward his hip. He was down several minutes on his back before being carried off by teammates.
Minnesota has dropped its first two preseason games, both to St. Louis (2-1). The Wild have been outscored 10-1, with six of those goals coming while the Blues were on the power play. Steen and Perron both scored with the man advantage, and Brett Sonne also had a power-play goal.
Matt Hackett replaced Harding and made 23 saves on 28 shots.
