Dutton, Crush use huge fourth quarter to top Kats
Apr 2, 2007 - 12:13 AM DENVER (Ticker) -- John Dutton and the Colorado Crush waited until the last possible moment to take over the game.Dutton threw five touchdowns and Willie Quinnie caught two scores as the Crush erased a 13-point fourth-quarter deficit en route to a wild 55-48 victory over the Nashville Kats.
Robert Redd, Damian Harrell and Brad Pyatt each caught a TD for the Crush (3-2), who outscored the Kats, 28-7, in the final period.
After the teams traded scores to start the fourth, Dutton led Colorado to 21 straight points to close the game, including 14 in the final 32 seconds. Robert Thomas' one-yard run with six seconds left snapped a 48-48 tie and secured the victory.
Dutton was 26-of-41 for 252 yards and Quinnie caught nine passes for 107 yards.
Kenny Higgins and Corneli Bonner combined for 14 catches for 273 yards and two TDs for the Kats (2-3), who committed 10 penalties.
