Roe lifts SaberCats to sixth straight win

Jun 2, 2007 - 6:37 AM SAN JOSE, California (Ticker) -- James Roe had three touchdown receptions in the second half to lift the San Jose SaberCats to their sixth straight victory, a 59-52 triumph over the Orlando Predators.

Roe capped the scoring on a 24-yard touchdown catch with 2:45 remaining. The SaberCats' defense sealed the victory by forcing a turnover on downs with 38 seconds left.

Roe hauled in eight receptions for 130 yards and Mark Grieb passed for 278 yards and six touchdowns for San Jose (10-3), which is unbeaten at home this season.

Shane Stafford passed for 327 yards and six touchdowns for the Predators (7-6), who have lost two straight games.

Javarus Dudley hauled in seven catches for 146 yards and four scores and Ron Johnson added nine receptions for 121 yards and two touchdowns for Orlando, which remained in second place in the Southern Division standings.
