Philyaw, Gladiators extinguish Blaze
Mar 9, 2008 - 8:45 PM CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- Raymond Philyaw passed for 297 yards and six touchdowns as the Cleveland Gladiators held on for a 66-63 victory over the Utah Blaze on Sunday.Philyaw completed 24-of-38 passes and Robert Redd hauled in seven receptions for 105 yards and three touchdowns for the Gladiators (2-0), who converted 6-of-10 third downs.
Blaze quarterback Joe Germaine had nine total touchdowns but was intercepted twice.
Germaine passed for 374 yards and eight scores and ran another in and J.J. McKelvey made 11 catches for 131 yards and three touchdowns for Utah (0-2), which committed three turnovers.
