Smoker lifts Rattlers past Dragons
Mar 22, 2008 - 6:26 AM PHOENIX (Ticker) -- Jeff Smoker threw five touchdown passes and rushed for another score to lead the Arizona Rattlers to a 62-33 victory over the New York Dragons on Friday night.Smoker completed 22-of-31 passes for 240 yards, hooking up with three different receivers for touchdowns.
Trandon Harvey paced the Rattlers receiving corps with eight catches for 110 yards and three scores.
Kevin Nickerson, who also caught a TD for Arizona (2-2), and Jerrian James each made six catches while Wendall Gaines' lone grab came in the end zone near the end of the first half.
Rohan Davey completed 21-of-43 passes for 334 yards and three touchdowns but also threw an interception for Dragons (1-3), who committed three turnovers during the game.
