Dolezel, Nash help Desperados down Gladiators
Apr 6, 2008 - 4:31 AM DALLAS (Ticker) -- Clint Dolezel threw five touchdown passes - all to Marcus Nash - and ran for another score as the Dallas Desperados held on for a 58-51 victory over the Cleveland Gladiators on Saturday.Nash caught eight passes for 118 yards for the Desperados (6-0), who racked up 227 yards of offense.
Dolezel and Nash hooked up twice in the second quarter, twice in the third and once in the fourth. The final connection was a four-yard score to make it 55-41 with 4:52 left in the game - a lead Dallas would not relinquish.
Quarterback Raymond Philyaw threw five TDs and Robert Redd had 10 catches for 125 yards and one score for the Gladiators (3-2), who had 330 yards of total offense.
