Apr 12, 2011 - 7:18 AM San Francisco, CA (Sports Network) - Clayton Kershaw tossed 6 2/3 scoreless innings, helping the Los Angeles Dodgers handle the San Francisco Giants, 6-1, in the opener of a three-game series at AT&T Park.Kershaw (2-1) gave up six hits to go with seven strikeouts and two walks. He has a 1.37 ERA.

Pat Burrell hit a solo homer in the ninth for San Francisco, which has lost two in a row since a three-game winning streak.
Madison Bumgarner (0-2) got rocked in five frames, allowing five runs on eight hits. He also walked four batters in the loss.
"We just haven't got in the flow yet," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said. "We need to get it going."
The Dodgers got on the board in the second inning. Matt Kemp walked, stole second and crossed the plate on James Loney's single past second baseman Freddy Sanchez.
San Francisco got its first two hits of the game in the third. Bumgarner and Miguel Tejada hit consecutive one-out singles. Sanchez, though, grounded into a double play.
The Giants got two more singles in the fourth, but Kershaw got out of the frame unscathed again.
Los Angeles opened the game up with a four-run fifth. Barajas led things off with a homer to left. Rafael Furcal walked and Jamey Carroll singled to put men on first and second with one out. Furcal stole third and scored on Ethier's base hit to center. Kemp followed with an RBI single. Burrell misplayed the ball in the outfield, which allowed a second runner to score. Kemp was thrown out while trying to make it to third, but not before the Dodgers took a 5-0 lead.
Ethier's RBI single in the seventh made it a 6-0 game.
"When we get a lead like that, you just got to keep coming after them," Kershaw said.
Burrell's homer off Mike MacDougal in the ninth accounted for the final margin.
