Warriors close season with rout of Blazers
Apr 14, 2011 - 6:29 AM Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - Reggie Williams scored 28 points and Golden State closed its season with a 110-86 win over the playoff-bound Portland Trail Blazers.Dorell Wright added 20 points for the Warriors (36-46), who finished up their fourth straight season without a postseason berth.
Patrick Mills had a career-high 23 points to lead Portland (48-34), which will go into the Western Conference playoffs as the No. 6 seed and a first-round matchup against Dallas starting on Saturday in Dallas.
Stephen Curry scored 18 to go with nine assists for Golden State. He and Williams each scored 15 in the second half, when the hosts held a 59-41 advantage.
The Warriors led 30-28 after one quarter and 51-45 at the half. Williams and Curry combined to go 9-of-12 in the third, helping Golden State take a decisive lead. A layup from David Lee with 7:22 remaining moved the margin to 64-48, and Golden State was up the same spread, 85-69, going to the fourth.
The Warriors were up by double digits the entire fourth quarter, and used their bench most of the time. Jeremy Lin even hit a three-pointer in the closing seconds and ended with 12 points, one less than Lee.

The Warriors played without leading scorer Monta Ellis (concussion)...Golden State took three of four games from Portland this season...The Blazers have lost 11 of 12 contests at the Warriors...Wesley Matthews scored 18 for the Blazers, who got 13 rebounds apiece from Earl Barron and Chris Johnson, and 11 boards and 11 points from Luke Babbitt.
