Celtics go for seventh straight win

Apr 8, 2008 - 1:35 PM Boston (61-15) at Milwaukee (26-50) 8:00 pm EDT

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) - Even resting the "Big Three" has not slowed down the Boston Celtics.

Boston goes for its seventh straight win when it visits the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.

The Celtics rested Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett on Saturday but still managed to thrash the Charlotte Bobcats, 101-78. Leon Powe had 22 points and nine rebounds to pace the Celtics.

Boston has clinched home-court advantage throughout the playoffs and the win over Charlotte also set the record for the greatest single-season turnaround in league history, as the club posted just 24 wins a year ago.

Milwaukee is heading toward the NBA lottery for the second straight year and has lost its last two contests.

The Bucks held a 10-point lead entering the fourth quarter, but dropped a 105-87 decision at Indiana on Sunday. Michael Redd had 24 points and Charlie Villanueva added 22 and 13 rebounds in the loss.

The Celtics have beaten the Bucks by 22 points in both prior meetings this season.
