Loyola Marymount beats Cal State Bakersfield 84-71
Dec 20, 2009 - 2:01 AM LOS ANGELES(AP) -- Jarred DuBois scored 24 points to help Loyola Marymount pull away from Cal State Bakersfield for an 84-71 victory on Saturday.DuBois hit four of his six 3-pointers during the first five minutes of the second half, when the Lions (5-7) made nine consecutive shots and outscored the Roadrunners 23-7. Loyola Marymount led 60-37 after the damage was done.
Vernon Teel added 13 points and Larry Davis 11 for Loyola Marymount, which has won back-to-back games for the first time since February 2007.
Trent Blakley had 20 points and Stephon Carter 17 for Cal State Bakersfield (1-8).
