Cal State Fullerton tops CS Bakersfield 77-70

Dec 29, 2009 - 6:38 AM FULLERTON, Calif.(AP) -- Jacques Streeter scored 23 points and Bryce Webster had a double-double to help Cal State Fullerton snap a three-game skid with a 77-70 victory over Cal State Bakersfield Monday night.

Streeter also had six assists, and Webster finished with 10 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks. Aaron Thompson came off the bench to hit all four of his 3-point attempts and add 16 points for the Titans (5-6). Devon Peltier had 15 points.

Stephon Carter led Bakersfield (1-10) with 24 points. Bryan Emanuel added 12 points and Trent Blakley 11 for the Roadrunners. Emanuel hit 3 of 4 from 3-point range.

A 3-pointer each by Thompson and Streeter keyed an 8-0 run as Fullerton built a 73-59 lead with a minute to go. But the Roadrunners scored nine unanswered points in 31 seconds to make it 73-68.

Emanuel's 3-point try rimmed out with 17 seconds to play and the Roadrunners had to start fouling.
