With the performance, the 6-11 Fazekas became the all-time leading scorer in school history with 1,880 points, surpassing Edgar Jones. Fazekas already had surpassed Jones as the leading shot blocker at Nevada.
"It is a tremendous accomplishment to score more points than anyone here," Nevada coach Mark Fox said. "Nick has been a phenomenal player for us. He's a terrific kid and I'm really, really proud of what he's done."
A Wooden Award candidate and two-time reigning WAC Player of the Year, Fazekas shot 9-of-11 from the floor and grabbed 17 rebounds to carry the Wolf Pack to their 11th consecutive home victory.
"It means a lot to me," Fazekas said. "To be able to put my name in the record books, it's special for me. I talked to my dad before the game and he said not to put pressure on myself."
Fazekas gave an early indication it would be a special night when he scored eight consecutive points, including back-to-back 3-pointers, to spark the Wolf Pack to an 11-2 start less than four minutes into the game.

Fazekas had a double-double in the first half alone with 12 points and 14 rebounds.
"It's a good accomplishment for him. I'm glad he got the record," Kemp said of Fazekas. "We got the win and that is the biggest thing."
