Unbeaten Duke visits Purdue

Dec 2, 2008 - 1:51 PM No. 4 Duke (7-0) at No. 10 Purdue (5-1) 9:00 p.m. EST

WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana (Ticker) -- Fourth-ranked Duke puts a pair of undefeated records on the line when it visits No. 10 Purdue in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Tuesday.

Lance Thomas scored a career-high 21 points off the bench as Duke cruised to its 64th consecutive home victory over a non-conference team Friday, posting a 95-72 triumph over Duquesne.

The win was the seventh straight to open the season for the Blue Devils, who have accomplished that feat seven times in the last nine campaigns.

Duke also is aiming to improve to 10-0 all-time in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, but has never beaten Purdue in four previous meetings.

The Blue Devils and Boston College are the only two teams that are still undefeated in the annual tournament, which the ACC has won each of the first nine seasons, winning 56 of 86 games over that span.

The Boilermakers are looking to bounce back from an 87-82 overtime loss to then-No. 13 Oklahoma during the NIT Season Tip-Off on Friday.

Duke has not traveled to West Lafayette since an 81-69 loss on March 20, 1981.
