Georgetown hopes to get back on track vs. Seton Hall

Jan 25, 2009 - 7:01 AM (14) Georgetown (12-5) at Seton Hall (9-9) 2:00 p.m. EST

SOUTH ORANGE, New Jersey (Ticker) -- Georgetown will be in search of a bounce back performance as it opens a three-game road trip in Big East play at Seton Hall on Sunday.

The 14th-ranked Hoyas opened the season 10-1 and began conference action with an impressive win at No. 2 Connecticut on December 29.

But they have fallen into a slump since, dropping four of six including a season-worst 17-point loss to West Virginia at home on Thursday that followed a loss to No. 2 Duke.

Georgetown committed 19 turnovers, made just 2-of-16 attempts from behind the arc and was outrebounded 35-25 in a 75-58 setback to the Mountaineers. Chris Wright led the way with 13 points while DaJuan Summers added 12 on just 4-of-14 shooting.

The Pirates (9-9, 0-6) are still in search of their first conference win. They have forced overtime twice and have lost three of their last four by single digits but have yet to find the elusive win column.

Jeremy Hazell, who is second in the Big East in scoring with 22.7 points per game, scored 30 points on 7-of-12 from 3-point range in a 98-93 overtime defeat to Providence on Thursday.

Robert Mitchell added 20 points for Seton Hall.
