INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Butler gets its third opportunity to clinch at least a share of the Horizon League title when it hosts Youngstown State on Thursday.

The Bulldogs (23-4, 13-3 Horizon), who have lost two straight league games, are coming off an impressive 75-63 victory at Davidson on Saturday.

Freshman Gordon Hayward scored a season-high 27 points and had nine rebounds in the win.

Matt Howard is scoring 14 points per contest for the Bulldogs, who are the two-time defending Horizon League champions.

Youngstown State (11-16, 7-9) has been playing better of late and is coming off a 68-64 victory over St. Peter's on Saturday.

Tom Parks and DeAndre Mays each scored 13 points in the win for the Penguins, who rebounded after having their season-high, four-game winning streak snapped.

Butler has won the last six meetings, including a 79-71 triumph on December 6.
