Dec 30, 2009 - 12:00 AM MIAMI (AP) -- Sasha Goodlett scored 17 points to help No. 24 Georgia Tech beat Florida International 68-57 Tuesday.Mo Bennett added 11 points for the Yellow Jackets (12-2), and Alex Montgomery and Brigitte Ardossi each had 10 points.
Rakia Rodgers led FIU (6-7) with 18 points, and Monika Bosilj added 10 points for the Golden Panthers.
FIU's Elisa Carey hit a 3-pointer with 10:01 left to cut the Jackets' lead to 49-47, but Montgomery answered with a 3-pointer from the top of the key that helped ignite a 17-2 run.
Georgia Tech outshot the Panthers 43.1 percent to 32.1.
In the consolation game of the Sun and Fun Classic, Hampton defeated Bryant 68-48. The Pirates' Whitney Hill scored 22 points to lead Hampton.
