Beck helps George Washington top Samford
Dec 1, 2007 - 11:24 PM NEW ORLEANS (Ticker) -- Kimberly Beck scored 21 points and Jessica Adair added 19 as No. 14 George Washington posted a 64-57 victory over Samford in the Four Points by Sheraton Invitational on Saturday.Adair added eight rebounds, including five offensive, as the Colonials (6-3) overcame 36.7 percent (22-of-60) shooting by grabbing 17 offensive boards and collecting 16 second-chance points.
Jazmine Adair had 12 points and Sarah-Jo Lawrence chipped in 10 and seven assists for George Washington, which bounced back from a late collapse in a 62-61 loss to UNLV in the opener of the event on Friday.
Savannah Hill scored 15 points and Alex Munday 13 for Samford (6-2), which shot 4-of-19 (21.1 percent) on 3-pointers.
