Fowles powers LSU to 11th straight win
Feb 10, 2008 - 10:17 PM BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (Ticker) -- Sylvia Fowles scored 19 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as eighth-ranked Louisiana State collected a 63-57 victory over No. 21 Georgia in Southeastern Conference action on Saturday.It was the 11th consecutive win for the Lady Tigers (20-3, 9-0 SEC).
Quianna Chaney and RaShonta LeBlanc scored 14 points apiece for LSU, which built a 37-24 lead at the break after limiting Georgia to 29 percent (7-of-24) in the first half.
Tasha Humphrey scored 17 points and pulled down 11 rebounds while Angel Robinson added 14 and 12 for the Lady Bulldogs (17-7, 4-5), who finished with 16 turnovers, leading to 20 points for the Lady Tigers.
