No. 24 Georgia Tech beats Hampton
Dec 29, 2009 - 3:00 AM MIAMI(AP) -- Brigitte Ardossi scored 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting to lead No. 24 Georgia Tech to a 63-54 victory over Hampton on Monday night in the 25th annual FIU Sun and Fun Classic.Alex Montgomery had 12 points and Deja Foster added 10 points and nine rebounds for the Yellow Jackets (11-2), who will play the host school in the championship game on Tuesday. FIU beat Bryant 68-60.
The Pirates (3-8) had a 43-42 lead midway through the second half. Georgia Tech called a timeout and responded with a 13-0 run that included three 3-pointers by Montgomery.
Quanneisha Perry and Bernadette Fortune both had 11 points for Hampton.
