Gay, Black lead Duke over Temple
Nov 24, 2007 - 2:39 AM ST THOMAS, Virgin Islands (Ticker) -- Carrem Gay collected 13 points and 12 rebounds and Chante Black added 13 points as No. 8 Duke posted a 64-53 victory over Temple at the Paradise Jam tournament on Friday night.Jasmine Thomas scored 11 points for the Blue Devils (5-0), who scored 48 points in the paint and got 37 from their bench.
Gay was 5-of-11 and Black was 6-of-9 from the floor for Duke, which ran out to a nine-point lead at halftime and never was seriously threatened in the second half.
Lady Comfort had 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Owls (1-3), who shot just 33 percent (18-of-55) from the field.
