Landers gets win No. 700 as No. 14 Georgia rolls
Jan 25, 2008 - 4:49 AM GAINESVILLE, Florida (Ticker) -- Sophomore guard Ashley Houts scored a career-high 25 points to lead No. 14 Georgia to an 82-55 victory in the Southeastern Conference on Thursday.The victory was No. 700 for coach Andy Landers, who joined Tennessee's Pat Summitt and Texas' Jody Conradt as the only coaches to record that many wins at one school. Overall, he is 700-218 in his 29th season.
Houts scored 21 of her point total in the first half, while senior forward Tasha Humphrey finished with 23.
The Lady Bulldogs (16-3, 3-2 SEC) snapped a three-game road losing streak. The Gators (13-6, 2-2) had their seven-game home winning streak snapped.
Brittaney Thomas came off the bench to score 18 points for Florida.
