PSV trounces Twente

Apr 4, 2015 - 9:46 PM Enschede, Netherlands (SportsNetwork.com) - PSV Eindhoven climbed 11 points clear at the top of the Eredivisie on Saturday as Memphis Depay netted a pair of goals in a 5-0 win at Twente.

Luuk de Jong opened the scoring in the 29th minute for the visitors, and Jeffrey Bruma doubled the advantage five minutes later.

PSV took firm control just before halftime with a goal from Georginio Wijnaldum to take a 3-0 lead at the break, and there was no way back for Twente in the second 45 minutes.

Depay then scored twice in the span of three minutes to wrap up the dominating performance, leaving second-place Ajax in need of a win at Utrecht on Sunday to keep pace.

Brian Linssen scored on either side of halftime, including the winning goal in the 86th as Heracles topped Dordrecht, 3-2, to move two points above the bottom three.

Heerenveen battled to a 0-0 draw with NAC, Vitesse benefited from a 79th- minute own goal from Sergio Padt to claim a point in a 1-1 draw with Groningen and Zwolle topped Willem II, 1-0, with a goal from Bram van Polen in the 75th minute.
