Big second half leads Rush past Crush
May 8, 2007 - 4:44 AM ROSEMONT, Illinois (Ticker) -- Matt D'Orazio threw for six touchdowns and the Chicago Rush scored 31 points in the second half to scrape out a 59-48 win over the Colorado Crush.D'Orazio completed 28-of-39 passes for 276 and Russell Shaw caught five touchdown passes for the Rush, who improved to 8-1 - the best record in the American Conference.
The Crush jumped on top early with two first-quarter touchdowns, but Chicago stormed back with a 28-point second quarter and trailed at the half, 33-28.
The Chicago defense stepped up in the second half, holding Colorado to just 15 points. Defensive back Dennison Robinson made nine solo tackles and intercepted a pass for the Rush.
The Crush wasted a great effort from quarterback John Dutton, who completed 22-of-32 passes for 346 and seven touchdowns. Damian Harrell was on the receiving end of six of Dutton's touchdown passes.
