SaberCats coast past Rattlers

Jun 17, 2007 - 6:21 AM SAN JOSE, California (Ticker) -- Mark Grieb threw six touchdown passes to lead the San Jose SaberCats to a decisive 66-26 victory over the Arizona Rattlers on Saturday.

James Roe caught four touchdowns and had 106 receiving yards for the SaberCats, who won their ninth consecutive game.

San Jose (12-3) entered the game having already clinched the Western Division title and a first round playoff bye in the American Conference. With the victory over Arizona (4-12), San Jose improved to a perfect 7-0 in division play.

Rodney Wright and Matt Kinsinger each caught a touchdown pass from Grieb, who was 21-of-28 for 239 yards with no interceptions. Kinsinger also ran for a score, as did Brian Johnson.

Arizona quarterback Chris Sanders finished 22-of-49 for 252 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions. Trandon Harvey caught two touchdown passes in the loss.
