D'Orazio, Rush hold off Crush
Jun 19, 2007 - 5:46 AM DENVER (Ticker) -- Matt D'Orazio threw for five touchdowns, including three to Bobby Sippio, as the Chicago Rush held off the Colorado Crush for a 66-57 victory on Monday.D'Orazio finished 23-of-32 for 242 yards, including two second-quarter scores to Sippio during an impressive 28-point uprising to carry a 35-24 lead into halftime.
Sippio had 10 catches for 114 yards and Rob Mager hauled in eight for 86 yards and a score for the Rush (11-4).
With Chicago leading by eight late in the fourth quarter, D'Orazio found Etu Molden from 12 yards out to increase the lead to 66-51 with 1:57 left. Crush quarterback John Dutton answered with a two-yard TD pass to Damian Harrell with 17 ticks on the clock for the final tally.
Dutton completed 26-of-43 passes for 246 yards and six touchdowns, but was also intercepted twice for the Colorado (8-7).
