Dutton helps Crush edge Destroyers
Mar 3, 2008 - 1:48 AM DENVER (Ticker) -- John Dutton tossed six touchdown passes as the Colorado Crush opened their season with a 50-47 triumph over the Columbus Destroyers on Sunday.Dutton completed 25-of-38 passes for 259 yards.
Ben Nelson had nine catches for 98 yards and three touchdowns and Willie Quinnie added nine receptions for 85 yards and three scores for the Crush (1-0), who held a 24-21 edge at halftime.
Matt Nagy passed for 225 yards and four touchdowns - three to Derek Lee - for the Destroyers, who are the defending National Conference champions.
