Roe leads SaberCats past Blaze
Apr 19, 2008 - 5:20 AM SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- James Roe hauled in three touchdown receptions and Jason Geathers added two scores as the San Jose SaberCats posted a 61-40 victory over the lowly Utah Blaze on Friday.Roe made four catches for 56 yards and Mark Grieb passed for 311 yards and five touchdowns with an interception for the SaberCats (4-4), who avoided a third straight defeat.
Utah (0-8) got within 34-33 early in the second half, but San Jose scored the next 27 points to take a 61-33 lead with 51 seconds to go.
J.J. McKelvey had three touchdown catches for the Blaze, who have yielded 60-plus points in all but one game this season.
