Grieb leads Sabercats to victory over Rattlers
May 6, 2007 - 6:22 AM PHOENIX (Ticker) -- Mark Grieb threw two scoring passes in the first quarter as the San Jose Sabercats jumped out early and posted a 56-49 victory over the Arizona Rattlers. Grieb hit James Roe for a 13-yard score and Ben Nelson from 12 yards out for the only score of the first period.Arizona never got closer than seven points thereafter.
Grieb completed 25-of-35 passes for 306 yards and seven touchdowns with no interceptions.
Jason Geathers caught 10 passes for 75 yards and Roe had eight for 128 yards and four TDs for San Jose (6-3).
Sherdrick Bonner completed 22-of-37 passes for 252 yards and six TDs for the Rattlers (2-8). He threw three TDs to Atnaf Harris.
