Germaine, Burley lift Blaze over Predators

May 26, 2007 - 4:14 AM ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- Joe Germaine threw seven touchdown passes - four to Siaha Burley - as the Utah Blaze snapped a five-game losing streak with a 65-62 victory over the Orlando Predators on Friday.

Germaine completed 27-of-32 passes for 289 yards. Burley had 14 receptions for 191 yards and four touchdowns and Tom Pace added nine catches for 69 yards and two scores for the Blaze, who won their first road game since April 1.

Utah took its largest lead with 43 seconds remaining when Germaine threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Burley to make it 65-55. Orlando answered on Shane Stafford's seven-yard touchdown pass to Jimmy Fryzel with 22 ticks left but failed to regain possession of the ball for the remainder of the game.

Stafford passed for 326 yards and five touchdowns for the Predators (7-5), who had a two-game winning streak snapped.

Javorus Dudley hauled in 10 receptions for 117 yards and Ron Johnson added eight catches for 114 yards and two touchdowns for Orlando.
