Grieb, SaberCats rip apart Blaze
Jun 10, 2007 - 4:49 AM SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- Mark Grieb threw for a career-high 10 touchdowns as San Jose SaberCats dominated Western Division rival Utah Blaze, 70-49, on Saturday.Grieb completed 26-of-39 passes for 249 yards as James Roe caught nine passes for 130 yards and three touchdowns as the SaberCats (11-3) remained atop the Western Division with the third best record in the league.
The SaberCats didn't relinquish control, leading 43-14 at halftime, and continued the onslaught, scoring an additional 27 points in the second half en route to their eighth straight game.
Former Ohio State quarterback Joe Germaine completed 23-of-36 passes for 285 yards and five touchdowns and Siaha Burley collected 10 receptions for 103 yards and two touchdowns for Utah, which dropped to third in the Western Division.
