Crush top Brigade in wild-card contest
Jun 30, 2007 - 10:41 PM KANSAS CITY (Ticker) -- Damian Harrell caught his third touchdown pass of the game with 2:12 remaining in the fourth quarter, snapping a tie and lifting the Colorado Crush to a 49-42 triumph over the Kansas City Brigade in a wild-card playoff game Saturday.Harrell, who had TD receptions of 21 yards in the third quarter and four yards earlier in the fourth, hauled in another four-yard scoring strike from John Dutton late in the period to put Colorado (9-8) ahead for good.
Overall, Harrell had eight catches for 106 yards. Dutton completed 20-of-30 passes for 253 yards and five touchdowns with two interceptions.
Raymond Philyaw went 36-of-52 for 321 yards and four TDs - including three to Anthony Hines - for Kansas City (10-7). Hines had 15 receptions for 120 yards, while Charles Frederick made 11 catches for 119 yards.
Colorado next faces San Jose in the divisional round Saturday.
