Grieb, SaberCats coast past Rattlers
Mar 16, 2008 - 6:28 AM SAN JOSE (Ticker) -- Mark Grieb threw three touchdowns as the San Jose SaberCats defeated the Arizona Rattlers, 63-43, on Saturday.With the game tied at 7-7 in the first quarter, San Jose (2-1) rolled off 20 consecutive points to forge a 27-7 cushion at the break.
Grieb completed 20-of-33 passes for 264 yards, including two first-half scores to Cleannord Saintil, who finished with six catches for 110 yards.
Jason Geathers had two rushing touchdowns and Phil Glover also scores on the ground for the SaberCats.
Jeff Smoker completed 22-of-36 passes for 288 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions for the Rattlers (1-2), who posted 29 points in the fourth quarter.
