Mar 26, 2009 - 4:13 AM GLENDALE, Arizona (Ticker) -- Wilson Betemit and Jim Thome hit back-to-back solo homers in the eighth inning to lift the Chicago White Sox to a 5-4 win over the Oakland Athletics.

Bartolo Colon tossed 4 1/3 scoreless innings for the White Sox, striking out four and allowing a pair of hits in his strongest outing of the spring.

Prospect Brett Anderson, who is competing for a spot in Oakland's rotation, allowed two runs and seven hits while striking out four in 4 2/3 innings.

At Peoria, Arizona - Travis Hafner and Jhonny Peralta recorded two hits apiece and Carl Pavano allowed two runs in six innings to lead the Cleveland Indians to an 8-4 victory over the San Diego Padres.

At Tempe, Arizona - Bobby Abreu and Juan Rivera drove in four runs apiece as the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim pounded the Colorado Rockies, 18-11.

At Phoenix - Five players, including Prince Fielder and J.J. Hardy, homered to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 12-8 triumph over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

At Surprise, Arizona - Chris Davis hit a grand slam and Jarrod Saltalamacchia added a solo shot to lead the Texas Rangers to an 8-4 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
