Apr 2, 2009 - 12:41 AM TEMPE, Arizona (Ticker) -- Andruw Jones smacked his third home run of the spring, giving the Texas Rangers the lead in the ninth inning en route to a 5-4 victory over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Josh Hamilton also homered for the Rangers, who wrap up their slate in Arizona with Thursday's game against the Kansas City Royals.

Matt Brown and Robb Quinlan each homered for the Angels, who received some clutch pitching from Jose Arredondo. He stranded runners on second and third by inducing three pop outs in the seventh inning.

At Phoenix - Jake Peavy hurled five scoreless innings and Adrian Gonzalez added a two-run homer as the San Diego Padres posted a 6-1 triumph over the Chicago White Sox.

At Phoenix - Steffan Wilson hit a go-ahead, two-run double to cap a four-run seventh inning as the Milwaukee Brewers edged the Arizona Diamondbacks, 8-7.

At Scottsdale, Arizona - Adam Witter and Steve Holm stroked consecutive doubles to break an eighth-inning tie as the San Francisco Giants held on for a 10-8 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

At Peoria, Arizona - Cliff Lee and Felix Hernandez - Opening Day starters for their respective teams - each endured rocky outings in a game between the Cleveland Indians and Seattle Mariners that ended in a 14-14 tie.

At Phoenix, Arizona - Geovany Soto hit a pair of homers for the Chicago Cubs, who settled for an 8-8 tie with the Oakland Athletics. Travis Buck delivered a two-run blast for the A's.

At Surprise, Arizona - Five players belted homers in support of Gil Meche, who tossed four scoreless innings en route to the Kansas City Royals' 6-5 victory over the Colorado Rockies.
