Mar 27, 2009 - 5:14 AM PEORIA, Arizona (Ticker) -- Mike Sweeney's third hit of the game drove in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the ninth inning and Ichiro Suzuki collected two hits in his Cactus League debut as the Seattle Mariners posted a 10-9 victory over the Kansas City Royals.

Mariners starter Felix Hernandez was rocked for seven runs, 12 hits and two walks while striking out six in six innings.

Sidney Ponson, who signed a minor league contract with Kansas City last week after pitching for the Netherlands in the World Baseball Classic, allowed six runs - four earned - and eight hits in 5 1/3 frames.

At Phoenix - Felipe Lopez reached base three times and scored a pair of runs and Brandon Webb allowed one run in six innings, helping the Arizona Diamondbacks defeat the Chicago White Sox, 3-1.

At Phoenix - J.J. Hardy collected three hits - including a home run - and three RBI and Mike Lamb blasted a three-run shot to help the Milwaukee Brewers to an 11-10 triumph over the Texas Rangers.

At Tucson, Arizona - Xavier Paul drove in three runs with a bases-loaded triple while James Loney and Blake DeWitt each had two RBI to lift the Los Angeles Dodgers to an 8-6 win over the Colorado Rockies.

At Goodyear, Arizona - Torii Hunter hit a pair of home runs, including one that followed back-to-back blasts by Bobby Abreu and Vladimir Guerrero as the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim recorded an 8-5 victory over the Cleveland Indians.

At Scottsdale, Arizona - Barry Zito allowed three runs and seven hits in five innings and Pablo Sandoval had two RBI and scored two runs as the San Francisco Giants claimed a 5-3 victory over the Chicago Cubs. The game was called after seven innings due to high winds.
