Chambers' hot shooting leads Georgia
Jan 5, 2007 - 2:58 AM ATHENS, Georgia (Ticker) -- Cori Chambers scored 23 points as No. 15 Georgia coasted to an 89-57 victory over Florida in a Southeastern Conference opener for both schools.Sparked by Chambers, who made 9-of-12 shots, the Lady Bulldogs (14-2) posted their third straight double-digit victory.
Janese Hardrick added 19 points for Georgia, which used a 22-8 run to close the first half to built an insurmountable 52-23 cushion at the break.
The Lady Bulldogs made 12-of-26 3-pointers.
Marshae Dotson scored 20 points to lead Florida (6-10), which lost its third straight game.
